What happens to the places a city has forgotten?

Beneath the streets, buildings and parks, another city exists — from air-raid shelters and bunkers to abandoned warehouses and spaces that have long since lost their original purpose. They often remain invisible in our everyday lives, yet they hold history, memory and the potential for a new life.

On 12 September 2026 at 6:30 PM, we will enter precisely such a place — the air-raid shelter beneath Bunardzhika Hill in Plovdiv — to talk about the potential of invisible spaces and the ways in which we can rethink and reimagine them.

The discussion will bring together Adriana Dikantcheva and Ivo Anev from Club “Smisal” and architect Yavor Panev from Optimistas Foundation.
