The Foundation "Art Over the Centuries" and the Association "The Unknowns – Plovdiv" are joining efforts to expand intercultural exchange and develop interdisciplinary practices in the field of contemporary art.
In May, a partnership and cooperation agreement was signed between the Foundation "Art Over the Centuries" and the Association "The Unknowns – Plovdiv", with the main goal of jointly developing policies and programs in the fields of culture and the arts, promoting Bulgarian art and cultural heritage, and exchanging best practices with strategic partners.
The Foundation "Art Over the Centuries" is a non-profit organization. Its primary mission is to foster and strengthen civil society in the fields of culture and the arts, as well as to encourage education in the field of visual arts. Since 2022, the Foundation has been organizing the first international Biennial of Contemporary Art in Bulgaria.
The Association "The Unknowns – Plovdiv" is a non-profit organization that develops, supports, and promotes creativity and innovation in the field of folklore. Since 2016, it has organized the Cultural Seminar "The Unknowns" – a platform that contributes to expanding collective knowledge and worldview. The seminar consists of modules in scientific research, artistic creation, and photographic exhibitions.
Partners include: the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Bitola, North Macedonia; the Museum of Contemporary Art "Pavel Šušara" in Bucharest, Romania; Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski"; the Agricultural University – Plovdiv; the Elizium Cultural Center; the Plovdiv Society of Artists; the Institute of Ethnography and Folkloristics with the Ethnographic Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences; the Academy of Music, Dance, and Fine Arts "Prof. Asen Diamandiev" in Plovdiv, and others.
